Ingredients are as follows:
topping:
6 Tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 C brown sugar
1/2 C chopped pecans (or walnuts)
filling:
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 package refrigerated pie crusts
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place a cookie sheet on the second rack to catch the drips if it bubbles over!
Line a 10″ pie plate with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Mix together the melted butter, brown sugar and pecans; spread into pan.
Place one of the crusts on top and press down into the pan; set aside.
Stir the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and butter together; mix in the apples.
Evenly spread into the pie crust.
Place the other crust on top and crimp the edges so it’s sealed; cut a slit on top.
Bake for 60-75 minutes; until golden brown.
Invert pie onto a serving plate (my pie plate is glass so it’s hard to see!).
Carefully remove the pie plate and slowly peel off the foil.
Slice, serve and enjoy!
I don't really like apple pie either, so my husband has resorted to making his own to make sure he gets enough.

Happy Monday! Lou Lou Girls
what kind of apples did you use? recommend?
I used Gala because they're my favorite! You can use Cortland, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Empire, Honey Crisp, Fuji…to name a few 😉
That's sounds awesome.. Going try it, bet it would be delicious with cinnamon roll dough…
Tried this years ago, but instead of sugar, used Splenda and it is delicious!
