Spooky Monster Marshmallow Treats

It’s that time of year when children everywhere will be getting ready for Halloween and parents will be too! A perfect way to get started is stopping at Target to pick up some Monster Cereals featured in Retro Boxes.  You’ll have to hurry because these are only offered for a limited time!  My husband loves these cereals and he couldn’t wait to dig in.  There is Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Yummy Mummy, Frute Brute and Boo-Berry.

 

Target is also offering you a chance to receive a Free Monster Bash Magazine
that’s filled with recipes, tips and tricks!  All you have to do is
purchase three Retro Cereals between October 1 – October 31, 2013 (in a single shopping trip) and the magazine is yours!   You can also visit Grocery Savvy for more inspiration.

With some of my cereal I decided to make Spooky Monster Marshmallow Bars.  They’re quick, simple and the perfect Halloween treat!

Ingredients are as follows:

1/4 C butter
1 (10 oz.) bag of marshmallows
1 tsp. vanilla
6 cups of Monster Cereal

Directions:

Grease a 13 x 9″ pan; set aside.

Pour six cups of cereal into a bowl (I used 2 cups of Yummy Mummy, 2 Boo-Berry & 2 Frute Brute); set aside.

Over medium heat, melt the butter & marshmallows together.  Stir in vanilla.

Add the cereal and stir until combined.

Pour into the prepared pan and allow to cool.

Slice, serve and enjoy!
