Banana Split Dessert

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Donsuemor.  They are a lovely company that makes delicious Madeleines. They make: Traditional, DippedLemon Zest, Chocolate and Dipped Chocolate.  They also make French Almond Cakes and Cute Cakes.  They will be featuring a Dessert a Day and asked if I’d like to participate…of course I would!  All I had do is choose one of their products and come up with a recipe; I chose the Traditional Madeleines. Once they arrived I immediately opened the box  and was pleasantly surprised to see each cookie individually wrapped.  I opened one up, took a bite and my taste buds did a little happy dance!  They are moist, soft and buttery…simple perfection!

 Ingredients are as follows:

16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 C powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C cool whip (from an 8 ounce container, save the rest for later)

26 Traditional Madeleine Cookies

2 bananas
20 ounce can crushed pineapple, drained well
1 C diced strawberries

Remaining cool whip
Chocolate syrup
Cherries

Directions:

Arrange 13 Madeleines in the bottom of a springform pan; set aside.

Whip together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and cool whip.

Take half of this mixture and spread evenly over the Madeleines.

Slice the bananas and place on top of the cream cheese mixture.

Spread the pineapple on top of the bananas.

Sprinkle the strawberries evenly on top of the pineapple.

Place another 13 Madeleines on top of the strawberries then spread on the remaining cream cheese mixture (make sure it goes to the edges of the pan).

Spread on the remaining cool whip.

Drizzle on some chocolate syrup and add some cherries.

Slice, serve and enjoy!

Donsuemor provided me with a box of Madeleines to participate in their Dessert a Day, however this review is my own opinion.
