Easy Basic Scones with fresh preserves.

Oh how I love a good scone!  Blueberry scones, toffee scones, strawberry cream scones, and many more.  However, I also love a basic scone so I can lather on some butter, jam, preserves, or even nutella!  Sitting down with a hot cup of tea and a scone is something I’ve really grown to enjoy.  It allows me to take a five minute break for myself where I can read a book, pray, or reflect on everything that is going on in my life.  It doesn’t happen all the time, and it’s not always a scone, but I’ll take what I can get!  Once you make these basic scones, you can spread on your favorite topping or even add something to the mix like chocolate chips, raisins, or cranberries.  This is a quick, easy and delicious recipe you’re going to love!
