Once again I had some bananas on the counter that needed to be used and I didn’t want to make another bread or cake. I also wanted the recipe to be quick and easy because now that school has started we don’t have a lot of free time! This Dulce de leche Banana Cream pie is a snap to make, it doesn’t need to be baked and it tastes delicious. I left mine sit overnight and the flavors meld together perfectly!
Ingredients are as follows:8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 C sugar
1 tsp. caramel extract (or caramel syrup)
1/4 C sugar
1 tsp. caramel extract (or caramel syrup)
1 C heavy whipping cream
dulce de leche, or caramel sauce
2 large bananas, sliced
1 ready-made graham cracker crust
Directions:
Whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form; set aside.
Cream together the cream cheese and sugar.
Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture; set aside.
Arrange a layer of bananas on the bottom of the crust and drizzle on dulce de leche.
Evenly spread half of the cream cheese mixture on top.
Arrange another layer of bananas and dulce de leche.
Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture on top; refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
Drizzle some more dulce de leche on top; slice, serve and enjoy!
Sounds essy enough.
