Last Saturday I featured the Gooseberry Patch Quick & Easy Christmas Cookbook. I made the Hot Milk Cake, today I’m making the Chocolate Fudge Pie and this coming Saturday I’ll be featuring another recipe too! This cookbook is filled with so many wonderful recipes and I love the Christmas memories that go along with them too.
This chocolate fudge pie is different from any other pie I’ve had. It has a nice chocolate flavor, it’s somewhat dense, it has a silky smooth texture and it’s not too sweet. Plus I love that it uses ingredients that I always have on hand. It would be the perfect pie to take along for the holidays!
5 T cocoa powder
1 C butter
4 eggs
1/2 C flour
2 C sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 8-inch pie crusts (I wanted a thick pie so I only used one 9″ crust)
Directions:
Whisk eggs together.
Mix in cocoa and melted butter.
Add flour, sugar and vanilla. Mix until combined.
Pour into prepared crust.
Bake at 35o degrees for 40-45 minutes or until center is set.
(if using two crusts it states to bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.)
Slice, serve and enjoy!
Yummy! Perfect for any chocolate lover like myself!
Thanks for sharing! Stopping by from Sweets for Saturday!

It looks divine. I am a big chocolate lover. Yummy!
Very interesting recipe. I wonder how it would turn out if it was made with butter.

YUM! Newest follower!
Absolutely wonderful!! I make a brownie pie from a Betty Crocker cookbook that looks like this. I will have to try this recipe and see if it's even better.
