The first thing I made were the Witch’s Finger Cookies. I think they’re spooky enough for Halloween, but not too scary for the kids. It calls for chocolate at the end, however I decided to take some white icing, add red food coloring and put that on the ends instead. My kids also wanted to paint the “finger nails” so I let them have fun with that too! These cookies were so simple to make and didn’t cost a lot since I bought everything at The Dollar Tree. Here’s what I picked up:
- Sugar Cookie Mix (plus the ingredients needed)
- Pumpkin Seeds (sliced almonds will also work)
- Food Coloring
- Vanilla Icing
It’s as simple as making the cookie dough, adding the green food coloring, roll them and bake. When they’re done, place a finger nail on top, add red food coloring to the icing and add a dash to the ends. Then it’s time to serve some spooky fingers!
