My kids love s’mores!  They have s’more turnovers at school and all four kids say it’s one of their favorite things.  I’ve tried several times to replicate the recipe, but for some reason I just can’t get it.  Every time they taste what I’ve made I always get the same “no, that’s not it” look.  When I found this recipe I thought I’d give it another shot and see what they say.  They said it didn’t taste exactly like the ones at school, however it was the best one yet!  So for now this will be the recipe I use to pacify their love of s’mores!  If you happen to have a recipe for s’more turnovers, I’d love to try it out!

Ingredients are as follows:

1/2 C butter, softened
3/4 C brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 C flour
3/4 C graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (7 ounce) container marshmallow fluff
1 C chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together the butter and brown sugar.

Mix in the egg and vanilla.

Add flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt; stir until a dough forms.

Take a piece of plastic wrap and place it in an 8 x 8 inch dish.  Take half of the dough and press it into the bottom.

Remove dough (using the plastic wrap) and set it aside.  Spray your pan with non-stick cooking spray and press remaining dough evenly into the pan.

Microwave the marshmallow fluff for 30 seconds then pour onto dough.

Sprinkle on the chocolate chips.

Take the dough you set aside and flip it on top of the chocolate chips.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes; or until golden brown.

Slice, serve and enjoy!
