If you’re like me then you love chocolate! Cocoa, chocolate chips and toffee make this bread almost sinful. It’s dense, yet very moist due to the addition of sour cream. And what I love about this recipe is that it comes together quickly and it’s made in one bowl! Very little effort for a great tasting bread!
1 C sugar
1/4 C butter, softened
1 C sour cream
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
3/4 C cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 3/4 C flour
1 C chocolate chips
1 C toffee bits
Topping:
1/2 C chocolate chips
1/2 C toffee bits
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease a 9 x 5 bread pan.
Cream together the sugar, butter, sour cream & vanilla.
Mix in the eggs.
Incorporate the cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and flour.
Fold in the chocolate chips and toffee bits.
Pour into pan; top with remaining chocolate chips and toffee bits.
Bake in preheated oven for 50-55 minutes; remove from pan.
Slice, serve and enjoy!
