Ooey Gooey Caramel Cookie Bars
Ingredients

14 ounce bag Goetze's Caramel Creams, unwrapped

heavy cream

butter
softened
1/4
C
white sugar
3/4
C
brown sugar

egg

vanilla extract

tsp.
baking soda
1/4
tsp.
salt

all-purpose flour

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place the unwrapped caramels and cream into a saucepan and place over medium heat.
Stir until caramels melt and cream is incorporated; keep warm and set aside.
Cream the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Stir in the egg and vanilla.
Mix in the baking soda, salt, and flour; stir until combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Press 3/4 of the dough into a 9 x 9 inch greased baking pan.
Pour the caramel on top.
Place remaining 1/4 dough in dollops all over the top.
Bake for 28-30 minutes, or until golden brown around the edges.
Allow to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes.
Slice, serve and enjoy!
Notes
If you wanted to save time, you could use refrigerated cookie dough for the base and top.
