Bacon & Maple Scones
Ingredients

all purpose flour

baking powder

baking soda

salt

brown sugar

frozen butter
cut in pats

large egg

cup
cold cream

tablespoons
maple syrup

diced cooked bacon
glaze

cream

maple syrup

Instructions
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
Add the butter, mix until crumbly.
Whisk together the egg, cream, and maple syrup.
Make a well in the dry ingredients, pour in the liquids along with the bacon.
Mix until everything is evenly moistened.
Roll out the dough onto a floured surface; about 1/2" thick.
Cut the dough into strips and then triangles.
Place on a lightly greased baking sheet; brush with additional cream if you'd like.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until they're a medium golden brown.
Remove the scones from the oven.
Mix the glaze together and apply to the tops of the scones.
Remove from the baking sheet, serve, and enjoy!
