Ingredients are as follows:
1 (9 inch) pie crust
1/2 C pecan halves (I crushed mine up because of the kids)
3 eggs
1 C dark corn syrup
1 C sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees; grease a 9″ pie pan.
Place unbaked crust into pie plate and arrange pecans in crust; set aside.
In a bowl, beat eggs well.
Mix in the corn syrup, sugar, vanilla and salt.
Pour mixture over pecans in crust.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes; reduce temperature to 325 degrees. Bake an additional 30 minutes or until center of the pie is set (mine took about 55 minutes).
Cool completely then slice, serve and enjoy!
Gooseberry Patch has graciously offered a cookbook to one of you and I bought this adorable gingerbread cupcake kit and gingerbread bakery bags too.
favorite thing is to make sausage balls for the family….that is
always the first thing they request….and the spicier the better for
them. 🙂

Our tradition is having the whole family together for Christmas! <3
So many traditions yet one regret… Not getting my mother's recipes written down before she passed away 🙁
Merry christmas!
My favorite Christmas tradition is seeing The Nutcracker with my daughters. Or maybe it's the baking, it's a toss up!
Going to church for the candlelight service, coming home and my girls always get to unwrap a special gift. It is pj's and a new book. In the morning after the rest of the gifts are open, we make eggnog pancakes.
My favorite Christmas tradition is making thousands of Christmas cookies and candies and giving it all away. I love sharing because everyone gets so excited to see their tray. The happiness on their faces is what it's all about!!
