READY… SET… COOK!

“the perfect combination of cooking and convenience”

Every Thursday I make a menu for the following week, the grocery list and then do the grocery shopping on Friday.  When the kids were little, I could do this every other week, but now they’re older (and eat more) so I do it every week.  Sometimes I run out of ideas or the meals become repetitive so I’m always looking for new inspiration.

When I was asked to review dinner thyme I thought, why would I need a meal delivery service.  Then I looked into it and was pleasantly surprised.  They take the guess work out of meal planning, prepping, and preparing!  It was nice not worrying about the grocery list or going grocery shopping.  All I had to do was go online where you will see a suggested weekly menu (you can also make changes and edit the menu to your personal taste) and choose what we wanted.  There are more than 15 different items available each week, and all menu items are available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 portions.

The meals are sent in an insulated box and everything is labeled so you know which ingredients go with each recipe.  They also take the stress work out of cooking because every dish comes with a recipe card which shows easy to follow step-by-step directions.  They do not send you groceries in a box.  Instead there are “recipe packs” that have been prepared by Dinner Thyme chefs using fresh ingredients. The recipe packs are designed by their chefs to allow you to fully cook a home cooked meal in around 10 – 15 minutes.

“When comparing cook-at-home meal delivery services, keep in mind we are
not at all like other services – apples and oranges as they say.

They are sending you groceries and a recipe card (talk about expensive).
You are left with prepping all the groceries before beginning to cook
and a lot of dishes after you are done cooking.

Instead, imagine this – a chef comes into your home, spends the day
preparing everything you need to cook a delicious, well balanced meal.
When it’s time for dinner, you turn on your stove and start cooking
immediately. 15 minutes later, dinner is on the table and there is only
one or two dishes to clean. OK, so of course we are not sending you one
of our chefs, but essentially this is what it is like to cook with
Dinner Thyme.”

With today’s busy schedules, families want convenience yet are also hungry for more traditional family meals.  With Dinner Thyme, they can have both!
