The other day I was at the store and they had canned apple pie filling on sale for .75 cents and it doesn’t even expire soon!  So of course I bought quite a few and I also picked up the new Extra Thick Double Cream from BK Creamery.  A few weeks ago I introduced you to this new cream and so far I’ve been enjoying it quite often.

The extra thick double cream has 42% milk fat so it whips up perfectly and can be used is a variety of recipes.  I decided to use it in this Apple Cream Pie which made a smooth and creamy center.  The pie is simple to prepare, it bakes up beautifully and (if you can wait long enough) is divine when it’s completely cool!

Ingredients:

1 refrigerated pie crust
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (9 ounce) container Extra Thick Double Cream
1 Tbsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 (20 ounce) can apple pie filling
1/2 C chopped walnuts

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease a 9″ pie pan.

Unroll the pie crust, place in the pie pan, crimp the crust then prick with a fork a few times and set aside.
