At my house, we are big popcorn fans!  We actually love it so much that I went out and bought a movie style popcorn popper.  This is by far one of the best investments I have ever made.  I get to make a big batch of fresh, delicious popcorn whenever I want…and believe me, I make it a lot!

I love the vintage look of it!  Now that I have it, I’m always looking for new recipes to try and a place that I turn to a lot is Yahoo! Food.  On Yahoo! Food you can look through beautiful photos, scrumptious recipes, cooking tools, anything you need to get inspired and there is an array of amazing contributors which include Sarah McColl, Julia Bainbridge, Rachel Tepper, and Alex Van Buren.  One recipe that I found to be oh so scrumptious is Julia Bainbridge’s Caramel Corn.  You can use microwave popcorn, but I did mine in my popper.  She adds some water in her mixture, but I decided to leave that out as well as the cashews.  Take a look at the simple ingredients:
popcorn
butter
brown sugar
cashews (optional)
salt

Directions:

Make your popcorn and remove the kernels; set aside.

Bring the butter, sugar and salt to a boil; allow to boil a minute or two.

Carefully pour over the popcorn and toss until it’s completely coated.  Spray two cookie sheets with non-stick spray; spread the popcorn out evenly.

Place in the oven to bake and then enjoy!

Epicurious, Food52, Martha Stewart and more.
